Plotina Skirt

Named after Pompeia Plotina, who as widow of Trajan petitioned Hadrian on behalf of the Epicurean school in Athens, extending imperial patronage to Greek philosophical tradition. The plain blue fabric corresponds to the directness of her petition, preserved in an Athenian inscription.
